And you grew up

In a slip
a blink
you
disappeared

from the cuddly
small
manageable
huggable
mass of giggles
and tears

you pole vaulted
into
an alien world
of mock adulthood

Holding an
bucket
bereft
of promises
I clean
a patch of your
window pane
dusty
with secrecy

and peep
in
unashamedly
voyeuristic

unspoken
accusations
seep
out of your
eyes.
like headless
horsemen
they charge
and gallop
laying
waste
my years
of hope

dont look
at me
so
I am no
oracle
please
tell me
all.
so I may
prepare
to
break
your fall
